Polyurethane Slurry Pump Parts Impeller and Liners for Slurry Pumps
Introduction:
Wear resistant polyurethane, also known as polyurethane elastomer, is an erosion resistant material that performs well in elastomer applications where thramp is a problem. This is attibuted to the high tear and tensile strength of polurethane. However, its general erosion resistance is inferior to that of natural rubber.
New polyurethane formulation to improve slurry-pumping capability.
Polyurethane product manufacturer SME is working closely with the mining industry to create abrasion-resistant polyurethanebody liners and impellers for slurry pumps, which will extend the products' pump life.
The polyurethane formulation could also be used in pumps for chrome and for coal.
Slurry pump parts in polyurethane material are: impellers, cover plate liners, frame plate liners and throatbush for slurry pumps.
